Traveling with children is not even as easy as traveling alone, because we cannot ask the child to put up with the same things that we usually do, such as not resting or eating well to make the most of the trip. However, since we want to enjoy these new experiences with you, here we have some tips to help you travel easily with children:

In matter of arrival by car or train

– Make sure the vehicle has passive safety measures that match the characteristics of your son, both weight and height.

-On long trips, it is important to wear comfortable, soft and loose clothing. If you can, bring your own pillow, blanket, toys, books, pencils and paper to entertain the children, as well as diapers, changes of clothes for the baby, a bottle, a pacifier…

– Do not forget to bring drinks and food for the trip, as well as warm enough clothes. You never know when a snowfall can delay your trip in winter and remove some facilities like heating or electricity.

If You travel by Plane

– Remember that your child can travel from 7 days, but it is advisable to report it to the airline to benefit from certain facilities.

–If your children suffer from otitis media the best is to wait for its dissolution before flying.

– If you need to take milk, be aware that you cannot pass pre-mixed milk powder with water through airport security. Bring the milk powder and buy water after passing the check.

– If you take liquid medicines in the form of syrup or drops, they must be accompanied by the prescription.

– Precautions during takeoff and landing. The change in atmospheric pressure during takeoff and landing of the aircraft can cause ear pain, dizziness or nasal congestion in children. To alleviate the discomfort, it is advisable to swallow saliva and chew something. For infants under 2 years of age, it is useful to breastfeed them during takeoffs and landings or give them a pacifier, water or juice.

-Jet lag is a disruption of the organism when it crosses different time zones and has to adapt to the new time. Adaptation is more difficult when the journey is made from west to east. The most common symptoms are fatigue, disorientation, loss of appetite, mood swings and weakness. Children are more suitable than mature. To avoid this, we recommend sleeping on the plane, adapting to the schedule of the destination country, exposing yourself to daylight and resting at night, and gradually adjusting meal times.

– Do not try to travel with a completely full or empty stomach. Consume drinks and food in small amounts, preferably salty before sweet.

– Keep the vehicle well ventilated.

– Try to keep the head still and attach it to a remote location outside the vehicle.

– Avoid activities where you have to watch the vehicle (reading, drawing or using tablets and consoles,…).

– If you are the driver, try not to drive the turns quickly or make sudden changes in speed.

– Always travel by looking and looking at the direction of travel.

– If you are traveling by boat, plane or Bus, try to be in the middle part that oscillates the least.
